The Arc of Kentucky

The Arc of Kentucky is a statewide advocacy organization that supports individuals with disabilities and family members. The Arc’s project, The Future is Now, is a program designed to support individuals with developmental disabilities and their families in making future plans for residential, financial and legal matters for their later years.

Hope for Tomorrow Project

The Hope for Tomorrow project, a collaborative initiative between HDI, Sanders-Brown Center on Aging at the University of Kentucky and the Retirement Research Foundation, seeks to provide valuable information to families of individuals with disabilities so they are able to successfully navigate resource and financial planning.

Human Development Institute

The Human Development Institute is Kentucky’s University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service. HDI focuses efforts on improving lifelong opportunities and services for individuals with disabilities, their families and the community.

Academy of Special Needs Planners

ASNP is a nationwide network of attorneys and financial planners who provide special needs planning services to families and organizations that serve people with disabilities.

Special Needs Alliance

The Special Needs Alliance is a national, non-profit organization committed to helping individuals with disabilities, their families and the professionals who serve them.


Planned Lifetime Advocacy Network is a membership-based non-profit organization, established by and for families committed to ensuring the safety, security and well-being of their relatives with disabilities.

The Arc’s Center for Future Planning

The Arc has created the Center for Future Planning to encourage and support individuals with I/DD and their families to plan for the future.
